The Dani Harmer Academy is for children and young adults who want to develop their skills, or those who are just shy and looking to gain in confidence.

The Academy offers a safe, friendly and fun environment to learn and explore the performing arts, from drama classes and singing lessons to dance workshops and much more.

All staff have current DBS checks and safeguarding training.

Classes for 5 to 18 years olds

The Academy will run during term time with workshops during the school holidays.

Each week students will participate in singing, dance and drama classes, an hour in each class and two fifteen minute breaks.

The classes will be divided into 3 age groups consisting of:

5yrs to 8yrs

9yrs to 11yrs

12 plus

Singing Lessons:

Our singing classes will offer a mixture of songs, including Musical Theatre numbers, as well as vocal exercises with the aim of encouraging confidence.. As well as group singing students have the opportunity to sing solo if they wish; we enourage this but it is not a requirement. There is also an opportunity to take LAMDA examinations in Musical Theatre. Dani Harmer Academy is a LAMDA Private Centre enabling exams to be taken on-site

Dance Lessons:

Our dance classes will be a mixture of modern, jazz and street dance. Not only a great way to exercise but also to nurture strength and co-ordination. There will be a combination of group numbers and solo numbers.

Drama Lessons:

Our drama classes will encourage imagination, creativity and to work as part of a team. Improvisation, script reading and role play will be encouraged. There is also an opportunity to take LAMDA examinations in Drama. Dani Harmer Academy is a LAMDA Private Centre enabling exams to be taken on-site
